WELCOME TO ANGEL HOMESTAY WHAT IS HOMESTAY? |

|
There are HOMESTAY programs in many countries for mainly cultural exchange purposes. The participants of the HOMESTAY are called "HOMESTAY Guests" or "Exchange Students." The people who accept those guests at their houses are called "Host Families." |

Our HOMESTAY service is the first one. We are looking for loving host families who are willing to share the fun and experience of having an interesting guest. You can offer them a more exciting and meaningful stay than staying in a hotel. HOMESTAY is one of the best ways to experience the culture of another country. These days, there are many Japanese people who come to the U.S. for HOMESTAY. (There are some American people who try HOMESTAY in Japan also.) HOMESTAY is very popular among younger people because they are eager to learn about and live a diferent life style in an actual American home. As a host family, you can experience the different culture, too. Through their eyes, you will find unique American culture for yourself. Their surprises may sometimes surprise you! They are here to learn English, but through communication you can learn Japanese, too. Please see the separate sheet "Let's Speak Japanese." You may ask your guest about Japanese culture, arts, cooking, etc. We arrange many optional tours and activities for the HOMESTAY guests. Host families are welcome to participate many of those activities. We have a "Japanese Speaking" coordinator and a Host Family Expert" in the area to assist HOMESTAY guests and host families. We provide information to both sides before the program starts. We always stay close to help you in any way. We try our best to make sure that host families can enjoy our program as much as homestay guests. Please see the page, "How to be a host family".
