Guest Arrival
We bring the guest to your home, introduce them to your family and give the guest a short orientation.
** Homestay Matching = We receive an application form from the applicant. We check the guest's profile and requests, and then check host families' preferences, hobies and etc. We call the registered host families whom we consider "good match". It's up to host family's decision after all. We tried to make a "Best Match" for the guest and host family.

Please try to start conversations with them.
Many of the guests understand quite a bit of English, but they are shy to speak it because their verbal skills are usually weak. Please try to give them as much attention as possible in the first couple of days to make them feel more welcome.
Please give your guest a short tour of your house.
Please let them know which rooms they are welcome in and if any are off-limits.
Please explain your house rules, if any.
Such as no-smoking in the house, where eating is allowed, if smoking is OK outside, etc.
Please tell your children not to touch the guest's belongings.
If they share a room, please talk to your children how to share the room.
Children are naturally curious about foreign guests, please instruct your children and their friends to respect their belongings and privacy.
Please introduce the guests to your friends when you have company.
This will make them feel more part of your family.
Please make them feel welcome to get a drink or snack on their own.
In Japan, guests would not go into other's refrigerator. Please make them feel welcome to go into your refrigerator to get a drink or snack on their own when they want.
Please show them how to use washer and dryer.
