My very first trip to America. I was a little nervous if I could survive with my poor English. I visited 5 cities in the U.S. in 2 weeks with my friend. We stayed at hotels and we were moving all the time. We spent the last 4 days in LA. We stayed with Donna's family and Kaoru's family a few days each.
When we arrived at the airport, my very first homestay started with a big hug by Donna. I got relaxed since then. There was nothing to worry about. We felt like that we were her children. (big kids!?) We arrived at Donna's home. Everything was so nice. I wish I could live in a house like that. It's a warm home, not a hotel. My apartment looks so cold when I came back.
We visited many places. We went to movies, Super Market, Getty Center, Universal Studios, Laguna Beach, Chinese Theatre, etc. It was a full of activities in such a short stay. I felt like visiting my own family who live a way from me. I was so relaxed.
Through the homestay, I realized it's important to communicate. I feel much closer to American people now than before this homestay. We can communicate each other. Donna talks to us slowly and carefully selects easier words. I think I want to study English more. I want to communicate with them more. I'm very happy that I met such nice people through Angel Homestay. I'd like to come back in near future!!!
